Overview

Yummy Places is a privacy-first application that helps you save and organize restaurants, cafes, bars, and other places you love. Your data belongs to you.

Data We Collect

Yummy Places does not collect any data. All data you create is stored:

  • Locally on your device: Places, ratings, photos, and preferences are stored on your iPhone using SwiftData.
  • Your personal iCloud: Your data syncs across your devices via your own iCloud account using Apple's CloudKit. Kelley Software LLC does not have access to your iCloud data.

What We Do NOT Do

  • We do NOT collect or store your information
  • We do NOT sell your data to third parties
  • We do NOT use your data for advertising
  • We do NOT track your location in the background
  • We do NOT send your data to external servers

Location Data

Yummy Places uses your location only while the app is in use to show nearby places on the map and to help you add new places. Location data is never stored on our servers or shared with third parties. You can deny location access and still use the app.

Camera Access

Yummy Places requests camera access to let you take photos of places. Photos are stored locally on your device and in your personal iCloud. They are never uploaded to our servers.

Sharing

When you choose to share a place, a link is generated that contains the place name, location, and details you entered. This sharing is initiated by you and uses Apple's built-in share sheet. We do not track or log shared content.

Subscriptions

Yummy Places offers optional premium subscriptions managed entirely through Apple's App Store. We do not process or store any payment information. Subscription management is handled by Apple. See Apple's Privacy Policy for details on how Apple handles purchase data.

Third-Party Services

Yummy Places uses Apple MapKit to display maps and search for places. Apple's privacy policy applies to their services: Apple Privacy Policy

Your Rights

  • Delete the app to remove all local data
  • Deny location or camera access at any time in Settings
  • Export your curated list of Yummy Places at any time. The data is yours after all!

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
